Please help us persuade the Treasury and the Government by contacting your MP using our quick and easy approach below to prevent any Fuel Duty increase in the Autumn Budget. Both the Prime Minister and the Chancellor of the Exchequer have stated that a 5p increase, plus VAT, will proceed despite the global oil crisis.

Although Diesel, the commercial backbone of all economies here in the UK, is among the most heavily taxed in the world, and petrol ranks as the eighth-highest-taxed among the 168 countries we monitor, Chancellor Rachel Reeves remains committed to imposing even more tax on motorists, cabbies, and commercial vehicle drivers.

Their crass fiscal recklessness is driven by the desire to spend even more on welfare, immigration, and a larger civil service. They seem to completely misunderstand that they could indeed spend more if the economy is growing strongly and inflationary pressures are minimal. This can only be achieved by boosting consumer spending and reducing business costs. Notably, by cutting transport taxes. Do that, Prime Minister, and watch UK PLC flourish economically.

So, here is how to easily contact your MP to ask them to ensure Fuel Duty is frozen for the lifetime of this Parliament and to call for tougher penalties on the continued, unchecked, opportunistic profiteering at the pumps.
